Neil Titcomb, father of Chris and Nate, signed on as Team Manager for Team Accelerated Chaos during the Tybee-500, and will be with the team again for the OBX-500. Neil grew up sailing small sailboats and has raised a family to appreciate the finer points of sailing and yacht restoration. He and his wife, Carol, own Calynda, a 38 ft wooden sailboat. The boat is a Catboat, re-rigged as a yawl (two masts) and Neil self-proclaims that he has two hobbies: rebuilding wooden sailboats and sailing wooden sailboats. During the summer, he and Carol (Chris and Nate's mother) can be found cruising the New England coastline on Calynda. He can also be found racing keel boats out of the local yacht clubs. He is an engineer by trade, and is currently working for Oxford Health Plans. As team manager, he will be be responsible for consulting with the race commitee on team issues, managing food and hotel rooms, and keeping Carol informed on team progress so that she can keep the website updated throughout the race. His maturity and experience with fiberglass work will be a huge asset to the team throughout the race.
